Ultimate Power Assistant is a computer power management utility, essentially a collection of several useful tools in a single window. The interface is dark, organized into tabs, and easy to navigate.
Features:
There is a built-in scheduler, you can schedule shutdown, reboot, sleep, hibernation, or sign out.
You set the time and forget about it; if you change your mind, you can always cancel the task.
There's an interesting feature with download monitoring. Let's say you're downloading something heavy overnight, the program monitors the process and shuts down the computer automatically when the download is complete. No need to sit and wait—go to bed and let the computer handle it.
It can remotely reboot and shut down computers on a local network, which is useful if you have several machines at home or in the office.
There's a mode that prevents the computer from going to sleep, turning off the screen, or running a screensaver. This is useful when you're being monitored at work or you just want to keep the system from falling asleep during a long task.
The package includes a process killer with a scheduler and a power plan switcher. The latter can monitor running processes and automatically change the power plan. Laptops are a separate issue; the software can automatically switch power plans when the battery is low.
